The 24 forms represent the 24 hours of the day. The name
of the pattern, the number of movements, and the shape of each pattern has
symbolic meaning to Korean history.
You will need to know and perform
your current form to pass your test. You should master your present form before
learning the next one. It is expected that you know all the forms below your
rank as well. You will need to show mastery of the first 9 forms (Chon-Ji
through Chung-Mu) for your Black Belt test.
